Dear friends and family;
It isn’t possible to properly express with words how grateful I am for everyone who prayed for our Youth Education Strategies team as we completed our most recent project in Zimbabwe. We faced significant opposition from the Enemy, but we were able to persevere through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish our most fruitful mission to date. In three weeks of ministry, my father, David Stockwell, our local team, and I were able to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ in 32 high schools, 13 middle and elementary schools, and 5 other community outreaches with more than 40,000 precious souls and see more than 25,000 professions of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This was truly an amazing mission, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the prayer and support of people like you!
This was my second time to participate in a mission to Zimbabwe, and it was truly a blessing to be able to visit some of the same schools where I had the opportunity to speak in 2011 as well. It was very heartwarming and encouraging to hear accounts from teachers and students of how they and others around them were permanently impacted by hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
One of the biggest reasons that this project was so successful was the diligent preparation work done by our local team in the weeks and months leading up to our mission. In 1999, my father and David Stockwell Evangelistic Association completed their first project in Zimbabwe. Since then, he has been to Zimbabwe more than ten times to share the Gospel and to train and encourage local pastors and evangelists to continue the work. It is a pleasure to continue working alongside my father in the harvest and to see the impact his ministry has had around the world over the years.
Youth Education Strategies has had a wonderful start to 2013, and we are very excited to see what God will accomplish through our team the rest of this year. Please join YES in prayer for guidance as we plan upcoming projects in Guatemala, Zambia, South Africa, and the Philippines.
